Light Upon the Land




Light embraces this land of tragedy, genocide, and remembrance.

A friend and I received permission from the Park Service, along with a guide, to enter the sacred ground of the Sand Creek Massacre Historic Site on the plains of eastern Colorado in the dead of winter.  With reverence and sense of humility, I was entrusted with portraying this land of spirits.
